Charity Darts Competition, Pyrford Social Club, 25th October
Received via e-mail: My friend Philis has run a darts tournment in the name of her Husband Len Trotter at Pyford Social club for the past 21years - It is 21 years since his death and this year we are hoping it will be special for both the Princess Alice Hospice that the money is always given to and to Philis. She and her family have played darts all their lives - she has had a hard time over the years as Philis son Colin is disabled and has brought him up herself he is now in his 40 and still being cared for by her. The darts tournament is run by her and her daughter Shirley and they purchase most of the prizes themselves with a few donations from friends and the club. Over the years she raises on average £500 a year for the hospice. The next time the competion is being held is 25th October 2008 at Pyrford Social Club.
