Greensides results 10/02/2008
The results for The Greensides Open which was held on Sunday 10th February, thanks once again to everyone that turned up and we did start a little later than normal due to a lot of congestion on the roads and a few players getting held up in traffic (please leave a little earlier ) however it did not stop everyone from once again enjoying such a great day, we had 48 players not as good as the previous month however it was still a great day especially since some of my regular players were away in Holland and also at a PDC event in Taunton. It was also nice to see Linda Shannon and family there with a few extra players sorry we never got time to have a good chat but will be in touch soon and maybe we can organise the date for the Youth event to be held at Greensides. Anyway the semi finalist results were Mark Haggerty ( Middlesex) beat Ray Cornibert (Middlesex) 4-1 in the other semi it was John Jukes (Oxfordshire) beat Grant Taylor (Middlesex Youth) 4-1 In the final John Jukes beat Mark Haggerty 5-3 furthest lady Tricia Wright ( Kent ) lost in last 16. Winner Received £190 Runner/Up £80 Semi-finalist x 2 each received £30 and furthest lady received £30. Thanks to Tony Reeves and Tricia Wright for doing all the Chalking and Calling for the semis and the Final Many thanks once again to Greensides and the Bar staff Les and Julie for all their hard work ( the food was excellent) and making everyone feel really welcome.
