Greensides Results 22/06/2008
The results of The Greensides London Open which was held on Sunday 22nd June 2008. Well what a great turnout we had this month we had 65 players turn up for this knockout and the standard of the darts this month were superb there were a lot of talented players out there today and it was great to see them come from all over for this knockout, there were a few regular players missing due to other commitments however we had a lot of new players turn up from as far as Sheppey Sussex Hertfordshire Kent to name but a few counties. Once again a mention to our youngest competitor Charlie Little who once again turned up to play in this senior event, it is so good to see one so young with so much commitment for this sport and with Clive and Emma their to help him along one day this lad will be a champion and he will be beating you Clive one day and you know it. It was also good to see that 3 ladies actually got to the last 16 where they eventually lost that was Jo Deamer Kerry Simmons and Tricia Wright, the 3 ladies had a play off between themselves, and the winner was Tricia. Another 4 new faces in the semi finals Clive Barden 3 Dave Goodwin 1 and Ben Burton 3 Richie Buckell 0. In the Final which was a very close event and could have gone either way however the victor was Clive with a 4-3 win over Ben, Clive off course started the day well in his first game he hit a 170 finish and off course his last game he hit a 160 finish.
