Surrey Inter-County Invitational Sunday 15th July
The First Summer Inter-County Invitational will be held at Epsom Legion on Sunday 15th July. This is a new event that it is hoped will become a regular annual fixture so you are very welcome to lend your support. The proceedings are based on the exciting Champions Cup format whereby all players begin their games at the same time - the only difference here is that each team comprises both Ladies & Men. The 5 Ladies will play their matches first followed by the 8 Men. The team that wins 7 matches is therefore the winner & will progress. As this is a first holding of the Competition, invite take-up was tentative but hopefully a successful staging this year will lead to a big response next time round. Surrey have made up the numbers so there will be plenty to interest Surrey players and supporters with this year's offering. The teams taking part are: Bedfordshire Berkshire Buckinghamshire Middlesex Surrey A Surrey B Surrey C Surrey Under 21 Entrance for all is FREE and Doors Open at 10:45am. Play will start at 12 Noon.
